Our Vision and Values
At St Peter’s our vision is to see a transformed West Molesey where every single person knows the love of Jesus.
We live out this vision by embodying these values:
Encounter God
We want to give people the opportunity to encounter God in everything that we do. That could be during worship in one of our Sunday services but it could also be learning a Bible story during toddler group or a quiet prayer at a connect community event.
Build Community
Community for us is more than the people who come along on Sundays. We want to be an integral part of our community in West Molesey, offering practical, social and spiritual support to whoever needs it.
Welcome the Broken
At St Peter’s we want to offer support to people who are going through difficult times. That’s why we set up Molesey Churches Night Shelter and run East Elmbridge Foodbank. Jesus didn’t just hang out with people who had it all together. He was friends with people who were struggling and he helped them. Find out how you can get involved here.
Value the Individual
We value everyone as unique individuals. You don’t need to look or act in a certain way to come to our services or join in with our events - everyone is welcome! We believe that God loves us exactly as we are and we think you’re great, just as you are!
Support
We believe that everyone has God-given gifts and talents. Sometimes we don’t know how to make best use of these abilities. We want to support people in reaching their potential, whether that’s at work, at school, with their families or at church.
‘The more tuned in you are to your purpose, and the more dedicated you are to growing toward it, the better your chances of reaching your potential, expanding your possibilities, and doing something significant.’
John Maxwell
Have Fun!
At St Peter’s we love to have fun! God gave us senses of humour and the desire to enjoy life. Church doesn’t have to be boring! Just check out our services or come along to one of our events to see us having fun in our worship and as a church community.
